“What was supposed to be a night of music and joy turned into a deeply personal mistake that unfolded in a very public setting,” the CEO began.
Adding to this, Byron added: “I want to sincerely apologize to my wife, my family, and the Astronomer team. They deserve better from me as a partner, a father, and a leader.”
The businessman also emphasized that the behavior everyone displayed in the video broadcast on digital platforms is not the type of person he claims to be, nor is it the type of person who represents the company.
"I'm taking some time to reflect, take responsibility, and determine my next steps, both personal and professional," the CEO wrote in the post, adding that he needs privacy while completing his process.

In the statement, the businessman mentioned that while he acknowledges the moment circulating on social media and acknowledges the disappointment it caused, he disagrees with the way the details were released.
"What should have been a private moment became public without my consent," the businessman said of his experience during the British band's concert.

“I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else's life into a spectacle,” Byron added in the statement.
To conclude his post in a forceful way, he included a fragment of the song 'Fix you' by Coldplay: “As a friend once sang: 'The lights will guide you home and set your bones alight, and I will try to fix you.'”
